                                         Treatment Objective:

All treatment begins with an accurate and professional assessment. We do not believe that one size fits all. Personalized and appropriate treatment recommendations are the goal.

Our substance abuse treatment is done in phases. Our most intensive portion of treatment is Phase One. One of the key elements of Phase One portion of treatment is alcohol and drug education. We strive to provide accurate and understandable information regarding substance abuse. Group meets three times a week for 12 weeks. We believe that it takes at least that long for people to sort out information for themselves. We try not to rush through this portion of treatment. We do not have to be in a hurry and we try to slow our clients down so they can relax and lower their defenses so they can be receptive to change. Simple slogans such as Easy Does It, One Day at a Time, and First Things First are appropriate for treatment.

Phase Two portion of treatment is usually one group per week for approximately 26 weeks. In Phase One the focus of treatment is what is addiction and how has my use of chemicals negatively impacted my life and others around me? In Phase Two, the focus is developing relapse prevention skills. How do I cope with stress without using? How do I have fun without using? We also offer monthly monitoring group if that is appropriate for the client or required by the courts. We provide services Monday through Friday.

                                        Obstacles to Recovery:

People are often overwhelmed at the prospect of getting an evaluation/assessment and the possibility of entering a treatment program. There are many questions regarding treatment. Where should I go? Can I afford it? How much time will I have to invest in treatment? What about my job? What about my family? Can I even do treatment? These are all reasonable concerns. Hopefully this information Will relieve some of the questions about treatment. Feel free to contact us for further information. All calls are confidential.

                                            Treatment Philosophy

There are many stumbling blocks on the road to recovery, but there is no greater obstacle than denial. The primary emotional drivers of denial are pain, anger, fear, guilt, and shame. It just goes hand and hand with addiction.
We believe that we are in the business of helping people help themselves to build a new life.

We believe that each person has value, gifts, and potential that will be realized in recovery.
We believe that each person can be helped by assisting them in gaining an understanding of their disease in a safe, non-threatening environment.
We believe that we can help by supporting them as they grieve the losses in their lives and rebuild self-worth with a sense of purpose and direction.
We know that treatment works because we see the evidence of changed lives.

                                              Mission Statement:

Our purpose is to provide effective, affordable chemical dependency treatment services in a safe, therapeutic environment. Our goal is to promote lifestyle changes that will lead to long-term recovery.
